WE'RE IN!

WE OFFICIALLY SPENT OUR FIRST NIGHT IN OUR HOUSE LAST NIGHT. RENOVATIONS ARE STILL UNDERWAY, BUT WE WERE ABLE TO MOVE INTO THE DOWNSTAIRS. ZOEY AND I WERE SO EXCITED WE FINALLY GOT TO TAKE A LONG HOT BATH IN OUR HUGE GARDEN TUB. WE'VE ONLY HAD ACCESS TO A SHOWER THE LAST FEW MONTHS AND US GIRLS JUST HAVE TO HAVE OUR BUBBLEBATHS. OUR KITCHEN ISN'T QUITE FINISHED BUT WE'RE MAKING DO WITH OUR TOASTER OVEN AND GAS GRILL. NOTHING LIKE GRILLED CHEESE COOKED OVER AN OPEN FLAME. BEING WITHOUT THE MODERN DAY CONVENIENCES HAS MADE ME REALIZE HOW SIMPLE LIFE CAN REALLY BE. WE DON'T NEED OR HAVE CABLE. WE USE THAT TIME TO READ BOOKS. WE SPEND OUR EVENINGS SITTING OUTSIDE ENJOYING THE SUNSET AND NOT GLUED TO THE TV. I COULDN'T TELL YOU WHEN THE LAST TIME I'VE ACTUALLY WATCHED A SITCOM OR EVEN WATCHED THE NEWS. THIS PICTURE IS OUR VIEW FROM OUR FRONT PORCH AND THESE ARE OUR OFFICIAL RANCH MASCOTS EMILY AND ELVIS THAT KEEP THE COYOTES AWAY AND ANY OTHER CRITTERS THAT MAY WANDER UP. I HAVE NO ONE TO TELL ME WHAT I CAN OR CANNOT DO, NO ARGUING WITH ANY SIGNIFICANT OTHER, I HAVE WONDERFUL FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND A WONDERFUL DAUGHTER I COULDN'T LIVE WITHOUT. LIFE IS GOOD.

AHHH! CHIHUAHUA

Last Friday night, Zoey and me had a "Girls' night out" and spent some one-on-one time. We started off by going to the mall and hitting Build-A-Bear for the latest bear and matching Halloween costume. Then we headed off the Carrabba's for dinner and then our finale, the movies to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua. This was the cutest show I have seen in a long, long time. Zoey and I laughed, cried and cheered as this little "Princess Chloe" chihuahua made her way across Mexico trying to get back to Beverly Hills and all the friends she made along the way. If you've read my blog any, you'll know we have our own "Princess Tiara" chihuahua who looks exactly like Chloe in the movie. Their characteristics were so much alike, Zoey and I couldn't believe it wasn't our own "princess" in the movie. I would give this movie five stars and suggest to take your daughter or son to see it. Be ware, though, you might just be searching for your chihuahua after seeing this movie. And, Moms, the hot landscaper dude in the movie with his Spanish accent might do a little something for you also. Zoey also attended my niece's birthday party at Sweet & Sassy in Sugar Land. The girls got to ride in a pink limo and strut their stuff on the catwalk.
